This artwork shows a dog in a spacesuit riding a small rocket through space. Compared to the other designs, this one was more challenging to create, especially because many of the curves had to be drawn manually using a mouse.
The project began with a simple solid blue background to set the tone of the scene, the quiet vastness of space.
I then created the rocket, which was a relatively straightforward process involving basic shapes.
Next, I added shading and placed the dog's helmet. The shading helped introduce some depth, and the helmet began to define the character's silhouette.
With the helmet in place, I constructed the rest of the spacesuit. The white sections of the suit were created separately from the outlines to improve visual clarity. Since applying a standard border made the edges too faint, I manually built the border in parts using the node tool, which gave me more control over the curves and structure.
I then drew the dog's head and continued adding shading across the suit. These small details and highlights made the design feel more natural and dimensional.
As a final touch, I added a reflective sheen to the helmet and scattered stars across the background. This helped tie the piece together and give it a finished look.
